  Obituary: Robert J Swain November 22, 1933 - December 31, 2016 Robert Swain, age 83, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel at 3pm, with Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge. Mr. Swain retired from The Atlanta Journal Constitution after 46 years. He was a devoted family man who loved golf, GA Tech Football, softball and racing cars. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Swain, daughter, Suzanne & Bryan Bowman, son, Jeffrey & Cathy Swain, grandchildren; Bonnie Bowman and Derrek & Laura Bowman, great-grandchildren; Alexa Griffin, Rylan Tribby, Vivian Bowman and Wesley Bowman, brother, Wayne Swain Jr. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Wayne & Alice Swain Sr. and sister, Nancy Walter. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4, 2017, from 1 to 3 pm at the funeral home.
