      Carl Eugene Wiseman, 79, of Chillicothe, died Thursday morning at the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

      Arrangements are pending at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly.

      Carl Eugene Wiseman, 79, passed away at the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, November 17, 2005.

      He was born in Ross County, August 24th, 1926 the son of Benton and Louise McDaniel Wiseman. Carl graduated from Piketon High School, the class of 1944. He was a retired meat cutter and assistant manager of Cook's Supermarket, in Anderson, Indiana.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Paul Wiseman. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Jim Kilbride and Pamela and Robert Jones of Indiana, one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Donald Deiber of Chillicothe, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Barbara Wiseman, Bill and Karen Wiseman of Waverly and Dale and Barbara Wiseman of Kissimmee, Florida, a sister-in-law Shelby Wiseman of Idaho, several nieces and nephews, and an aunt Dorothy Harrod of Chillicothe.

      Carl served his country from September 1950 to August 1953. He was a Regimental Radio operator in Korea for the 15th Infantry 2nd Army. He was awarded the United Nations service medal, Korean Service Medal and Combat Defense Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge. He was Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army with the Rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a past president of Anderson Eagles and a member of American Legion and VFW.

      Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 at Boyer Funeral Home, Weaverly, with Rev. Harland Alspach officiating. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery, Piketon, with military rites. American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly.

      Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home 6-8 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
