ODESSA - Donna Jean Harrison, 53, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2006 in Odessa.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6:00 to 8:00, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday August 12, 2006 at Central Baptist Church with Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Donna was born in Hamlin, Texas on November 26, 1952 to D.L. Yeary and Bobbie (Brown) Yeary. She married Byron Harrison in Odessa on June 25, 1977. She served faithfully as a charter member at Central Baptist Church as the church organist for over 30 years. She lived in Odessa for 45 years.

Hers was a life defined by patience, tenderness, and love. She was constantly guided by her trust in God; she wore her cross on the inside. Her passions were her family, her church, her flowers, and her five dogs. She was the center of a loving family as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Donna served the citizens of the Permian Basin as the Director of the Workforce Development Division for the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission for 30 years. Her co-workers valued her leadership, friendship, and her contributions. Her absence will be an immense loss to the citizens of this region and the workforce profession. Her co-workers (friends) were inspired by her kindness, fairness, and dedication to the organization.

Donna is survived by her husband Byron Harrison of Odessa; two sons CPL Matthew Wayne Harrison and wife Jesamy of Lubbock, Nicholas Lee Harrison of Lubbock; one daughter Megan Jean Harrison of Austin; her mother Bobbie Yeary of Odessa; one brother Gary Yeary of Ft. Worth and one granddaughter: Ava Bryn Harrison of Lubbock.

She will be profoundly missed by her family, her friends, her loved ones, and the countless people whom she impacted throughout her life.

Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
