Notes - Obituary:
Funeral services for Mrs. LaVerne Hunter, of Dallas, a former Longview resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Laurel Land Funeral Home in Oak Cliff, Dallas.
The former local resident died in Dallas Thursday. She was the wife of Allen Hunter.
Mrs. Hunter was the mother of Mrs. Mae Adkins of Longview, the sister of Mrs. Newton Cox of Longview and Frank, Paul and Elmo Crocker, all of Longview.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lahouma Maize of Gatesville; two sons, Alton Holcomb of California and Ben Lee Holcomb of Dallas; three other brothers, besides the three who reside in Longview, including Charlie Crocker of North Carolina, John Crocker of South Carolina and Lem Crocker of Corpus Christi. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
