Kramer Cemetery - Burleson County, Texas, USA

Notes: Also known as Germania Cemetery

This cemetery is located on Highway #21, approximately 4 miles east of Caldwell, Burleson County, Texas.

There was once a school on the same grounds called Germania School, but during WWII, the name was changed to Liberty School. The land for the school, etc. was donated by Louise (Holtz Herrmann Rosenkranz) Kramer (Find A Grave#55726882) and her third husband, Andrew Kramer (Find A Grave#55726883), a confederate veteran. Louise was the second wife of Andrew, his first wife (also named Louise Find A Grave#56628587) died in 1901 and was buried in the Elizabeth Lutheran Cemetery.

Kramer Cemetery is located on the west side of a lane. On the east side of the lane is another cemetery called Cooks Point Methodist Cemetery (also known as the German Methodist Cemetery) which is associated with and just behind Cooks Point Methodist Church.

Close to the entrance of the lane, between the 2 cemeteries is the lone grave of Willie Pape (Find A Grave#135490360) who committed suicide. History relates that no one wanted him buried in their graveyard, therefore he is by himself.
