    Obituary:

    Joyce Julaine Newton
    September 8, 1971 - December 12, 2023

Joyce Julaine Newton was born September 8, 1971, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She lost her two month battle with ovarian cancer on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. She was surrounded at home by loved ones.

Joyce is survived by her beloved daughter, Skye Newton; loving parents Troy and Cleta Newton; and older brother Randy Esch and wife Pam. Other family members include Kara and Chris McNeal; Chad Esch; Jordan, Hayden and Palmer Kyle. Special sisters: Elizabeth and Beverly Sinclair.

Joyce's journey through life included living with her parents in Saudi Arabia. After returning to the States, she lived in Houston where she attended Mount Olive Elementary, Lutheran High South and graduated from Milby High School. She also attended Houston Community College. After the birth of her daughter, Skye, they moved to the family ranch in Canadian, Texas, and then moved to Wichita Falls in 2008.

Joyce was confirmed in and a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Houston. Later she joined the First Presbyterian Church in Canadian and Wichita Falls.

To merely say that Joyce cared deeply for the earth and its creatures that inhabit it would be an understatement. In addition to her love of nature, she was a gifted artist. Her favorite mediums were acrylic and watercolor. Other interests included attending rock n roll concerts. She loved "The Golden Girls" and was an avid reader.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Beyond Faith Hospice of Wichita Falls. Joyce will be forever cherished and remembered by her family and friends.
