    Funeral services for Mr. Angel Gabriel Crnkovic, 93, of Oak Grove, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 23, 1995, at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with Father Joe Martina officiating.

    Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery for Mr. Crnkovic who died Sunday, October 22, 1995 in West Carroll Memorial Hospital. Services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

    Mr. Crnkovic was born on March 23, 1902 in Stari-Laz, Yugoslavia to Bartol and Mary Crnkovic. He came to the United States at the age of 9 where his family settled at Zwolle, Louisiana. They moved to West Carroll Parish in 1925 and he married Fannie Gunter in 1926. To that union, six children lived to be grown. He became a citizen of the United States on April 28, 1967. He lived a very long, good and productive life.

    Survivors include three sons, Robert Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; Preston Crnkovic, of Bastrop; and Bill Crnkovic, of Lake Providence; two daughters, Jane Acreman, of Oak Grove and Doris Crnkovic, of Alexandria; a brother, Joseph Crnkovic, of Zwolle; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Gunter Crnkovic; and two sons, Barley Crnkovic and Keith Crnkovic.

    Pallbearers were Hoye Terrell, Charles Frith, Joseph Martin, Charlie Hankins, Jeff Chop and Todd Chop.

    OAK GROVE - Doris Nadine Crnkovic died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002, at West Carroll Care Center in Oak Grove. She was 75.

    Miss Crnkovic was born in Birmingham, Ala.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Angel Gabriel Crnkovic and Fannie Crnkovic, and three brothers, Barley Crnkovic, Keith Crnkovic and Robert Crnkovic.

    She is survived by two brothers, Bill Crnkovic of Lake Providence and Preston Crnkovic of Bastrop, La., and one sister, Jane Acreman of Oak Grove.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove with the Rev. Mike Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

    Visitation will be at the funeral home today until the time of the service.

    Pallbearers will be Jerry Crnkovic, Pat Hill, Jody Acreman, Gary Crnkovic, Scott Crnkovic and Robert Gunter.

    Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Gunter.

    Funeral services for Miss Doris Nadine Crnkovic, 75, Oak Grove, were held at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove, Sunday, September 8, 2002, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Mike Ray officiating.

    Miss Crnkovic died September 7 at West Carroll Care Center.

    She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Angel and Fannie Crnkovic; brothers, Barley, Keith and Robert.

    She is survived by a brother, Bill Crnkovic, Lake Providence; sister-in-law, Estelle Crnkovic, Lake Providence; brother, Preston Crnkovic, Bastrop; sister-in-law, Faye Crnkovic, Lake Providence; sister, Jane Acreman, Oak Grove; sister-in-law, Wonice Crnkovic, Oak Grove; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

    Pallbearers were Jerry Crnkovic, Patt Hill, Jody Acreman, Gary Crnkovic, Scott Crnkovic and Randy Gunter. Jerry Gunter was honorary pallbearer.

    OAK GROVE - Keith Crnkovic, 48, of Monroe died Thursday in Veterans Administration Hospital in Shreveport after a sudden illness.

    Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Lanes Ferry Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Pippens officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatricks Funeral Home of Ruston.

    Funeral services for Mr. Preston Crnkovic will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with the Rev. Phillip McCready officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 9 at the funeral home.

    Preston Crnkovic was born May 14, 1931 in West Carroll Parish to the union of the late Angel Crnkovic and Fannie Gunter Crnkovic. He died Sunday, February 7, 2010 surrounded by his family at his home in Bastrop.

    Preston was a unique person in many ways, very practical, with a dry sense of humor. God had blessed him with many talents along with the knowledge and skillfulness to use them during his lifetime. He was talented in farming, carpentry, welding, electrical, and plumbing. He was mechanically inclined to fix many things. He always tried to be organized before starting a project. His motto was "Count the cost before you start and do it right to start with. Make it low maintenance."

    Some friends would call him a "perfectionist" but he was always neat in his job performance. A loyal company man, Preston retired from Louisiana Gas with over 30 years of service. He excelled in his job and was promoted to construction superintendent for the North East district. He believed in treating his co-workers with dignity and respect.

    Preston was also an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. During his military service he made over 20 successful jumps.

    He loved his family, especially his wife of nearly 59 years, Fay and his two special granddaughters, Hannah Mardis and Amelia Crnkovic. They were the spice of his life and an enjoyment on their summer vacations together. He was an avid fisherman and he hosted many a good fish fry for family and friends. He also provided many others with an abundance of white perch. Preston was always eager and willing to help his neighbors and friends. He was a good provider for his family and he will be missed by many.

    Mr. Crnkovic was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill, Keith, and Robert Crnkovic; and a sister, Doris Crnkovic.

    Preston is survived by his wife of 59 years, Fay Trichell Crnkovic of Bastrop; three children, Gary Crnkovic of Bastrop, Vicki Crnkovic Mardis and her husband Ted of Tulsa, Okla., Scott Crnkovic and his wife Kim of Bastrop; two granddaughters, Hannah Mardis of Baton Rouge and Amelia Crnkovic of Bastrop; step-grandson, Jonathan Moreland of Bastrop; sister, Jane Acreman of Oak Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Serving as pallbearers will be Ted Mardis, Randy Gunter, Robert Craft, Jerry Crnkovic, Quenton Burchfield, and George Book. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Freeland and Royal Kempier.

    Funeral services for Mr. William Robert "Lud" Crnkovic, 62, were held Friday, May 2, 1997, at 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with Reverend Mike Ray and Reverend Jimbo Herring officiating.

    Interment followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery for Mr. Crnkovic who passed away Wednesday, April 30 at his home. Funeral services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

    Mr. Crnkovic was a lifelong resident of West Carroll Parish where he was a member of the Lanes Ferry Baptist Church. He was a farmer and had been a riverboat pilot for 15 years. Mr. Crnkovic also served on the West Carroll Parish Police Jury for 12 years where he served as President for several of those years. He was a loving husband, daddy, and "Pa".

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Wonice Sebren Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Crnkovic and Kaye Allen Crnkovic, of Oak Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheldia Crnkovic Hill and Pat Hill, of Oak Grove; five grandchildren, Landon Owens of Oak Grove, Kasidy Hill, of Corpus Christi, Texas; Jennifer Crnkovic, Bobby Crnkovic and Patrick Hill, all of Oak Grove; two brothers, Bill Crnkovic, of Lake Providence and Preston Crnkovic, of Bastrop; two sisters, Doris Crnkovic and Jane Acreman, both of Oak Grove.

    Funeral services for Jane Crnkovic Acreman, age 70, of Oak Grove, LA will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 9, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove with Rev. Carlos Trapp officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

    Jane was a member of First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. She worked in the banking business for many years before working at Renee Schneider State Farm in Oak Grove. She was known for her great cooking. She loved her family and friends.

    Jane is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie and Phil Thomason of Oak Grove, LA, and Molly and Louis Book of West Monroe, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Tressy Acreman of Bastrop, LA; seven grandsons, Chance and Samantha Grubbs and Chad Grubbs and Andrea, Cade Thomason, all of Oak Grove, LA, Barlee Acreman, Jackson Acreman, both of Bastrop, LA, Koby Book, Kage Book, both of West Monroe, LA; granddaughter, Franny Acreman of Bastrop, LA; two great grandchildren, Dallas Grubbs and Stetson Grubbs of Oak Grove, LA; numerous nieces and nephews.

    Dennis Keith Crnkovic was born on April 2, 1952 and passed away on March 15, 2006. Keith had requested that no service be held and the family will honor his wishes.

    DELHI - Services for Steven Crnkovic of Delhi, 44, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Cox Chapel in Delhi with the Rev. Kenneth King officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.

    Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Walker of Delhi; four sons, Casey Crnkovic and Cody Crnkovic, both of Delhi, Bryan Steven Crnkovic and Aaron Crnkovic, both of Monroe; a daughter, Amanda Suzanne Crnkovic of Monroe; his mother Marjorie Shearrod of Chatham; his stepfather, Fred Shearrod of Chatham; a brother Dennis Keith Crnkovic of West Monroe; two sisters, Lorie Barnett of Chatham and Suzan Craft of Ruston; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

    Justin Eugene Farley 35, of Franklinton, Louisiana formerly of Jena passed from this life on Sunday, July 26, 2015.

    He was born to the union of Raymond Eugene and Brenda Susan (Crnkovic) Farley, Jr. on Monday, February 4, 1980 in Shreveport, La.

    Justin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Gene & Rita "Mama Reet" Farley Sr. and maternal grandparents Fred & Margie Sherrard.

    Those left to love and miss him are his mother Susan Craft & husband Robert of Dubach; father Gene Farley, Jr. & wife Clovice of Jena; sweetheart Camela Jones of Franklinton; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, Jena, Louisiana and on Friday morning from 8:30 AM until time of service.
