    Funeral services will be held at St. John's Cathedral tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. for Frank Daigle Sr., 61, who died at his residence in Lafayette yesterday at 1:15 p.m.

    Interment will be in St. John's cemetery.

    Survivors include his widow, the former Lena Deshotel of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Leo Borel of Lake Charles; seven sons: Rev. Brother Cecil Thomas, F. S. C. of St. Paul College, Covington, Charles of Shreveport, John Harry of Lafayette; James of Lafayette; Frank Jr. of the U.S. NAVY, North Carolina, Richard of Greenville, Miss., and Jack Daigle of Lafayette; four sisters: Mrs. Daisy Hodges of Baton Rouge, Mrs. Harry Dutt of Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs. Velma Daigle and Mrs. Stella Daigle Jennie of Monroe, Three brothers: Sidney of Lafayette, Steve of Monroe, and Clovis Daigle of Algiers. Three grandchildren also survive.

    The body is at the First National Funeral home.

    Recitation of the Rosary by the K of C. Council 1286 is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. Robert J. Guchereau of the First National Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

    The deceased was a retired rural mail carrier and a member of the Lafayette Council No. 1286 K of C. and the Holy Name Society of the Cathedral parish.

    Charles Martin Daigle, 72, of El Paso died Thursday. Visitation will be from noon to 9:30 p.m. today in Martin Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. He is survived by his sister, Mary Borel; and his brothers, James Daigle, Thomas Daigle, Frank Daigle, Richard Daigle and Jack Daigle. He was retired from the Air Force.

    El PASO, Texas - Charles Martin Daigle, 72, of El Paso was buried Monday, March 6 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.

    He died Thursday, March 3. He was retired from the Air Force, a 1933 Cathedral High School graduate and a USL graduate.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Daigle and the former Laura Marie LeBlanc; and a brother, John Harry Daigle.

    Survivors include a sister, Mary Helen Borel of Austin, Texas; and five brothers, James and Brother Thomas Daigle, F.S.C. of Lafayette, Frank Daigle of New Orleans, Richard Daigle of El Paso and Jack Daigle of Germany.

    Funeral services were held at Martin and Castill chapel at a 2 p.m. Mass Monday for John Harry Daigle, 62, who died at his residence in Lafayette.

    Interment was in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

    Services were conducted by the Rev. Whitney LeBlanc, chaplin of the De La Salle Christian Brothers. Committal services were conducted by LeBlanc and Rev. Austin Leger, pastor of St. Francis Regis Church in Arnaudville.

    Organist and soloist for the funeral Mass were Mrs. Arthur Randol and Mrs. Ramona Carmichael. Musical selections were: "How Great Thou Art," "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Battle Hymn of the Republic."

    Funeral Services were held at Martin and Castille chapel at a 2 p.m. Mass today for John Daigle, 62, who died at his residence in Lafayette.

    Interment was in the St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

    Survivors include his daughter, Laura Anne Daigle of Baton Rouge; six brothers, Charles M. and Richard A., both of El Paso, Texas, James J. and Brother Thomas M. Daigle, F.S.C., both of Lafayette, Frank V. Daigle of New Orleans and Jack Daigle of Cadsbury, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Leo "Mary" Borel of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Eurella Marks and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daigle.

    A native of Lafayette, a former resident of Opelousas and a resident of Lafayette for the past nine years, Mr. Daigle was the son of the late Frank Daigle and Laura LeBlanc. He was a 1936 graduate of Cathedral High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, formerly S.L.I., with a degree in Education. He was a teacher and boxing coach at Sunset High School. He also taught at Washington High School. Mr. Daigle was a teacher at the Prairie Rone Elementary School and the acting principal there for two years. He was last employed at the Lawtell High School for the remainder of his teaching career when he retired in 1971. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the Navy with six years of service.

    LAFAYETTE - Services for James J. Daigle will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Martin and Castille with the Rev. Bennett J. Voorhies officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Daigle, 69, of Lafayette died at 4:08 a.m. Saturday in his residence.

    He was a native and lifelong resident of Lafayette. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired as a lieutenant colonel. He served as ex-commander of the American POWs. He was a member of the American Legion Post 69, VFW Post 203 and Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World, Golden Age Club, the Greenhouse, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, AARP and the American Postal Workers Union.

    Survivors include his wife, Juanita Toussel Daigle of Lafayette; one daughter, Susan Savant of Brusly; three sons, Michael J. Daigle and Juan P. Daigle, both of Lafayette, and Maj. Patrick J. Daigle of Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Mary Borel of Austin, Texas; four brothers, Richard Daigle of El Paso, Texas, Jack Daigle and Thomas Daigle, both of Lafayette, and Frank Daigle of New Orleans; and nine grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be held Monday at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in the Martin and Castille Funeral Home Chapel for James J. Daigle, 69, who died Saturday, Jan. 18, 1992 at 4:06 a.m. at his residence in Lafayette.

Daigle M.D. of Wright Patterson A.F.B., Dayton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Leo (Mary) Borel of Austin, Texas; and four brothers, Richard Daigle of El Paso, Texas, Jack Daigle and Brother Thomas Daigle, both of Lafayette, and Frank Daigle of New Orleans. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles Daigle and John Harry Daigle.

    A native and lifelong resident of Lafayette, Mr. Daigle was the son of the late Frank Daigle and the former Laura LeBlanc, both natives of Broussard.

    He was a veteran of military service having retired as a Lt. Col. with the United States Air Force and served as ex commander of the American P.O.W.'s.

    Mr. Daigle was a member of the American Legion Post #69, the V.F.W. #203 and the Disabled American Veterans as well as the Woodmen of the World, the Golden Age Club, the Greenhouse, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the A.A.R.P. and the American Postal Workers Union.

    A rosary will be recited Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

    The Family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Monday.

    Pallbearers are members of England Air Force Base. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron J. Savant, Jonathan E. Daigle, Joshua P. Daigle, Jeremy P. Daigle, Christopher Daigle and Nicholas Daigle.

    Jack was a native of Lafayette, the son of the late Frank Daigle and Laura Marie LeBlanc. He attended Cathedral, Immaculate High School, and Southwestern Louisiana Institute. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years and worked for the Department of Defense, retiring in 1990 with 34 years of government service.

    Mr. Daigle is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ann Toussel, Lafayette; one daughter, Jacqueline Ann Daigle, Lafayette; one grandson, Joshua Adam Daigle, Lafayette; three brothers, Brother Thomas Daigle, F.S.C., Denver, Co.; Frank Daigle, New Orleans, and Richard Daigle, El Paso, Texas; and one sister, Mrs. Leo (Helen) Borel, Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Daigle, John Henry Daigle, and James Daigle.

    The family requests that visiting hours be observed Sunday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. The funeral is under the direction of Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive.

    Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette for Shalon Ann Daigle Ortiz-Corona, age 41, who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020. The family will receive friends at Martin & Castille Funeral Home's DOWNTOWN location on Wednesday, commencing at 9:00 AM with a recitation of the Rosary at 12:30 PM.

    Deacon Cody Miller will conduct the services.

    Survivors include her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Michael James Daigle; her husband, Marcos Adrian Ortiz-Corona; her children, Robert Lee Battles III, Meadow Battles, Marcos James Ortiz, Cesar Michael Ortiz and Luis Adrian Ortiz; and her siblings, Jonathon E Daigle, Kimberly Caspari, Nicholas James Sebastian Paul Daigle and Destiny Ann Chance Daigle.

    Shalon worked as a secretary for T and T Cable.

    Graveside services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Jacob Perry Daigle, who died Thursday at 12:40 p.m. in the Women's and Children's Hospital.

    Brother Thomas Daigle, De La Salle Christian Brothers, officiated.

    Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Juan Paul Daigle of Lafayette, (Mrs. Daigle is the former Terry Ann Snow); two brothers, Joshua Daigle and Jeremy Daigle, both of Lafayette; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Daigle of Lafayette; his maternal grandfather, Gilbert Snow of South Carolina; and his maternal great-grandmother, Alice Chambers of California.

    Martin and Castille Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
