Obituary:

ATHENS - Services for Jeffrey McNew, 4, Elkhart, formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eastern Hills Church of Christ in Athens with the Rev. Dr. Eric Cupp officiating.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Athens, under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.

Master McNew died Monday afternoon.

He attended Head Start pre-school in Elkhart.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Mark and Laura McNew, Elkhart; paternal grandparents, Bill and Pat McNew, Athens; paternal great-grandparents, Jack and Ruth McNew, Big Spring, and Floyd and Lucille Howland, Athens; maternal grandparents, Gary and Linda Motl, Seaguin; a materal great-grandparent; and numerous other relatives.
