Jack Frieze
Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at the Gulf Coast Worship Center in Long Beach.
GULFPORT - Mr. Jack Frieze, 69, of Gulfport died Tuesday, November 7, 2000 of cancer in Gulfport.
Mr. Frieze was born in Kiowa, Kansas. He retired in 1981 from the U.S. Navy after over thirty years of service. He received the following awards: Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Seventh Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Cuba), Antarctica Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation. He was also retired from the U.S. Naval Home where he was employed from 1981 to November, 1993. He attended Gulf Coast Worship Center in Long Beach.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brandi Frieze and a granddaughter, Selena Frieze, his parents, Gordon and Iris Frieze, a sister, Fleta McMurphy and a brother, Billy Frieze.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Frieze of Gulfport; three stepdaughters, Rhonda Ford, Angie Favre, and Kelli Murphy, all of Gulfport; a step-son, Herb Murphy of Clinton, MS; three sisters, Mary Hurley of Enid, OK, Juanita Brewer of Alva, OK and Jo Ann Kassick of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Charles Frieze and Jimmy Frieze, both of Wichita; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Gulfport. The funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Gulf Coast Worship Center in Long Beach where friends may visit an hour before service time. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
