Notes - Obituary:
Graveside services for Mrs. Johnnie Cockrill Bumgardner, 82, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Ridgecrest Cemetery with Dr. Trevis Otey and the Rev. H.C. Zachry officiating. Griffin Funeral Home is in charge.
Mrs. Bumgardner, who lived at 125 Campbell St., died Sunday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a short illness.
Formerly a reporter for The Jackson Sun, she was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Dr. Don R. Webb of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs. J.C. Harris of Jackson and Mrs. L.R. Watson of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Spence L. Wilson, Ron K. Anderson, Dr. Harold McIver, Dave Cates, George Kimes and Ray Tanner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Cashon Sr., Ridley Alexander, Blakemore Overall, Dr. George Dodson, Blake Williams, Buddy Patey and Earl Williamson Sr.
