Notes - Obituary:
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. for James C. Kelker, 67, of 232 East Herndon St., who died Wednesday following a short illness.
Mr. Kelker had lived in Shreveport since 1932.
He was a civil engineer with Marathon Oil Co.
He was a graduate of Purdue Univeristy.
A veteran of World War II, he had served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 32 years.
He had been affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years.
Mr. Kelker was an honorary member of the Rotary Club, and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Kelker; two sons, Francis J. Kelker of Miami, Fla., and Patrick Gene Malmstron of New Orleans; two daughters, Nancy Lee Kelker of Norman, Okla., and Mrs. Kim Dalrymple of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Catherine Church with the Rev. Steve Testa officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Park West under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dr. P. C. Worley, George E. McGovern, D. Q. Lucky Jr., Fred Hamiter, F. M. Smith and John A. Jameson.
The family asks that memorials be sent to the Norwela Council, Boy Scouts of America for Garland Scout Ranch.
